Given volume of solvent = 70 mL

Given volume of solute = 5 mL

Total volume of solution = 70 + 5 = 75 mL

Volume percent = ( volume of solute ) / ( volume of solution ) * 100

                                 =  (5 / 75) * 100
                                 =  6.67 %
