Length of DNA = no. Of base pairs * distance between two adjoining base pairs(it is constant - 3.4) In your case - 400*3.4. = 1360

Lenght of DNA =no. Of base pairs * rise per vertical base pairs 400*3.4 Angstroms = 1360 Angstroms
