Given: u=80 km/h = 200/9 m/s v=60 km/h = 150/9 m/s t=5 sec Acceleration=v-u÷t (150/9 - 200/9 )÷ 5 -50/(9×5) -10/9 -1.11 m/s So here acceleration= -1.11 m/s Or retardation = 1.11 m/s

Initial velocity -80km/h Final velocity -60km/h Time-5sec V=u+at 60=80+5×a 60-80=5a -20=5a -20÷5=a a=-4/metre per second

Gaurav Seth 4 years, 2 months ago

U= initial velocity= 80 km/h = 22.2 m/s
v= final velocity = 60 km/h = 16.7 m/s
t= time = 5 s
a= acceleration = ?

a=v-u/t
a= 16.7-22.2/5
a= -5.5/5
Therefore, a=-1.1 m/s^2
