Kushwant singh describes the relation between his and his grandmother. How she used take care of him, send him school, but suddenly a change came to there relationship after going to city. When they started living in the city with all there very own family members. Poor grandmother can't help kushwant in his study because it was an English medium school. She used to spend her days in cities by feeding the sparrows that used come in front of the window for the bread ? crumps. He also described about her death and how those sparrows react with that death incident of his grandmother.
