Parasitic plants are ones that are parasitic on other plants, meaning they have a negative one way interaction with its host. One example would be mistletoe plants grown on a variety of tree species such as cottonwoods.
An insectivorous plant is a plant that consumes insects. They are more commonly known as carnivorous plants. Example- pitcher plant
