Let first no. be x Now next no. will automatically be x+3 And the third no. will be x+3+3 or x+6 Now solution: Total equation=x + x + 3 + x + 3 + 3 = 876 3x + 9 = 876 3x = 876 - 9 3x = 867 x =876 ÷ 3 x = 292 So, three consecutive multiples of 3 whose sum is 876 are x+ x + 3 + x + 3 + 3 = first no. = (x) = 292 Second no. = ( x + 3) = 292 + 3 = 295 Third no. =(x + 3 + 3) = 292 + 3 + 3 = 298
