A Set is a collection of well defined objects. we come across , the usage of sets in our everyday life. a) in the kitchen , the utensils are arranged in such a manner that the plates are kept seperately, bowls are kept seperately etc. The purpose of sets is to house a collection of related objects. They are important everywhere in mathematics because every field of mathematics uses or refers to sets in some way. They are important for building more complex mathematical structure.
