Mole is a unit to measure large numbers. It comes handy in the study of chemistry as we deals with large number of particles in this subject. It is also known as an avagadro number. It's value is 6.023 × 10^22

A mole is defined as the amount of a substance that contains exactly 6.02214076 * 1023 ‘elementary entities’ of the given substance.
Number of Moles = (Mass of the Sample)/(Molar Mass)
1 amu = (1gram)/(6.022*1023) = 1.66*10-24 grams
