The cell theory is that, all the animals and plants are composed of cells and that the cell is the basic unit of life. This was presented by two biologists, Schleiden(1838) and Schwann(1839). The cell theory was further expanded by Virchow(1855) by suggesting that all cells arise from pre-existing cells. Hope this was helpful....Thank You !!!

He exclaimeda thin slice of cork under his sepf devloped primitive microscope. He seen a bricks like structures aslike as wall is made up of bricks as same as human are made of cells .He tell that isa basic building block of life.

Cell was intrduced by an English scientist Robert hooke in his book micrographia publised in year 1665 .
