The Full form of DNA is Deoxyribonucleic acid. Deoxy means lack of an oxygen atom, Ribo means ribose sugar, Nucleic is found in the nucleus of cell and Acid contains negatively charged phosphate ion which is acidic. Deoxyribonucleic acids are hereditary material for human and most other living beings, I.e., they carry the genetic information for growth, development, functioning and reproduction of all known living organisms.
