One more example is here if we write on black board with chalk and leave it for 15 20 days and after that we will not be able to erase the chalk easily means it has diffuses with board . Diffusion in solids are very very slow

This is one of the example of diffusion in solids. It took lot of time because of strong forces of attraction between the particles of solids. Alloy of metals is an example of the diffusion of a solid in another solid.
