On a clear moonless night we can see thousands upon thousands of stars dotting the night sky. If we are a little creative, we can imagine shapes and patterns these stars can make. Some of these patterns made up of groups of bright stars are easy to recognize and we call such groups as a constellations.

Constellation is a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure. The 12 constellations of the zodiac are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces. All of these, as well as the full circle of the zodiac are easily visible in present-day star maps among other constellations.
