Weight in gram(s) can be found as like: Atomic mass of Carbon is 12 amu(atomic mass unit) but when we write 1 mole of Carbon it becomes 12 grams. Similarly for molecular mass(not weight) for Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO*3): atomic mass for magnesium is 24g, for Carbon it is 12g and Oxygen it is 16g. So, just add it according to the formula of the compound. Molecular mass of Magnesium Carbonate: 24+12+16*3=84g. Thanks:)
