An electrochemical cell is a device that generates a potential difference between electrodes
using chemical reactions. Galvanic cells and electrolytic cells are examples of electrochemical
cells. A galvanic cell is constructed by using Zn and Cu electrodes such that the reduction
potential (E0) of Zn and Cu are -0.76V and +0.34V.
1. Construct the above galvanic cell diagrammatically.
2. Write the anodic and cathodic reaction taking place.
3. Calculate the emf of the cell so constructed.
4. Write two functions of salt bridge.
5. What is the direction of flow of electron and current in the external circuit?
