Salt is an ionic compound that has a cation other than H+ and an anion other than OH– and is obtained along with water in the neutralization reaction between acids and bases. Eg:- NaCl, CuCl2 etc. Sodium chloride is one of the best-known salt. In addition to being classified as normal, acid, or basic, salts are categorized as simple salts, double salts, or complex salts. Simple salts, e.g., sodium chloride, contain only one kind of positive ion (other than the hydrogen ion in acid salts).
