Central nervous system consists of the brain and the spinal cord. However, all the nerves of the body together make up the peripheral nervous system. It consists of three types of nerves – spinal nerves, cranial nerves and visceral nerves. Peripheral nervous system is divided into two types – autonomic nervous system and voluntary nervous system.
