Cell organelle : More than 8.7 million species are living on the planet. Every single species are composed of a cell, and it includes both single-celled and multicellular organisms.

The cells provide shape, structure, and carry out different types of functions to keep the entire system active. The cell contains different functional structures which are collectively called as the Organelles, and they are involved in various cellular functions.

Mitochondria : Mitochondria are called as the powerhouses of the cell as they produce energy-rich molecules for the cell. The mitochondrial genome is inherited maternally in several organisms. It is a double membrane-bound, sausage-shaped organelle, found in almost all eukaryotic cells

Lysosomes are sphere-shaped sacs filled with hydrolytic enzymes that have the capability to break down many types of biomolecules. The key function of lysosomes is digestion and removal of waste. Cellular debris or foreign particles are pulled in to the cell through the process of endocytosis. The process of endocytosis happens when the cell membrane falls in on itself (invagination), creating a vacuole or a pouch around the external contents and then bringing those contents into the cell.
