Garbage is gold to them as it provides the items to be sold for money . Garbage was the only source of income for them . It also means a roof over their heads . Thus it was most valuable thing to them

Seemapuri is the place on the outskirts of New Delhi . People who live here are the residents from Bangladesh in 1971 . About 10,000 rag pickers live here without an identity and without basic amenities yet they live happily because for them food is important rather than the identity . They live in a slum and could find anything . Ragpicking is their main survival . For ragpickers , Ragpicking is their survial . As the author said it is their daily bread and a roof over their heads even if it is a leaking roof . For parents , its a means of survival and for children , its something wrapped in wonder .
