The statement is true with refrence to the story''lost spring''.. In the story we come across the helpless children who seemed to lost their carefree childhood. They are firced to live a life with responsibilities, misfortunes and miseries. Children of seemapuri tend to engage in rag picking in order to supplement their income. They had to roam as derelict around the narrow streets of seemapuri. Their homes and fields are destroyed in the war. These instances show their perpetual state of poverty and hardships & adversity of life
