Definition Most fundamental and smallest part that can exist of an element. Two or more atoms chemically bonded together.
Example Oxygen – O

Sulphur – S

Oxygen – O2

Sulphur – S8

Structure Smallest particle with properties of an element. Combination of two or more atoms.

Atoms-1- atoms cannot exist independently. 2- atoms does not show the property of their substance. Molecules-1- molecules can exist independently. 2- they show all the properties of their substance.
