During freeging air get tapped into water . Thus atter solidification the average density of ice becomes lower than water, so ice floats on water.

The structure of ice is such that there are vacant spaces between molecules which makes it lighter than water. Volume of ice is more than equal mass of water thus density of ice is less than water, hence it floats

Because ice is a low temperture And Water is High temperture
