And ans. Is yes because process of diapause is same as dormancy...and i have consulted google and my teacher..

Both dormancy and diapause metabolic rate decreases and organism go in a suspended development.....but for suspended development in seeds "dormancy "word is used and for suspended development in animals, insects etc diapause word is used......Eg..diapause is also referred to as animal's dormancy.......for seeds diapause word is not used....

No, both the terms seed dormancy and diapause are different. Seed dormancy refers to the inactive phase of seed where they fail to germinate due to lack of favourable conditions like adequate moisture, oxygen and suitable temperature. Diapause is a stage of suspended development in some organisms like zooplanktons in lakes and ponds.
