Based on the duration of diseases they can be classified into two -Acute disease(short period) -Chronic disease(long period) acute diseases occur suddenly and last for a short period of time. The recovery from the disease is generally complete after treatment. There is neither loss of weight nor tiredness.Because of its short duration it does not affect any organ. eg: cold ,fever, etc: chronic diseases occur slowly and last for a long period of time. The recovery is generally incomplete even after treatment. There is loss of weight and tiredness.Because of long duration it affects a particular organ in our body . eg:cancer ,diabetes ,etc
