Two main objectives of economic policies pursued by colonial government were 1) make India importer of finished goods and 2) make India net exporter of raw material and destroy all wealth and prosperity of the India. These policies affected the Indian economy in very worst way as it led to the decay of handicraft industry , surplus trade but only benefit to the British , no capital good industry name on the country, forcedful commercialization of agriculture led to backward and stagnant production and productivity , volume of goods only exported majorly to British.
