Suez Canal is a sea-level waterway running north-south across the Isthmus of Suez in Egypt and connects the Mediterranean and the Red seas.

The canal separates the African continent from Asia, and it provides the shortest maritime route between Europe and the lands lying around the Indian and western Pacific oceans.

1. It is the shortest route connecting east and west, hence saves time and resources.

Panama Canal connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the narrow Isthmus of Panama.

The Panama Canal is essential to Panama as well as United States economies. The canal is an important passage of economic trade for the USA and for the rest of the world.
