Length of a room(l) = 1 m
Breadth of a room(b) = 0.5 m
Height of a room(h) = 0.75 m
The length of the longest rod is the diagonal of the room.
So, We have to find the diagonal of the cuboid.
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ (l)² + (b)² + (h)²
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ (1)² + (0.5)² + (0.75)²
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ 1+ 0.25 + 0.5625
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ 1.8125
Diagonal of a cuboid = 1.346 m
Hence , The length of the longest rod can be put in a room is 1.346 m.
