Why in bio gas formation it is not necessary to add methogenic bacteria to digest cow dung?

Cow dung demonstrated a potential for biogas generation. Biogas is a mixture of colourless, flammable gases obtained by the anaerobic digestion of plant-based organic waste materials. Biogas is typically made up of methane (50-70%) carbon dioxide (30-40%) and other trace gases. Many microorganisms affect anaerobic digestion, including acetic acid-forming bacteria (acetogens) and methane-forming archaea (methanogens). These organisms promote a number of chemical processes in converting the biomass to biogas. Gaseous oxygen is excluded from the reactions by physical containment.
