In biotechnology chapter 11 ....we learn to introduce alien DNA into host cells...... But host cells also have its own DNA in it.... And we're also putting alien DNA in it.... So will there be two DNA in the host cells....... And why we are putting DNA into host cell if it has its own DNA?? Please urgent need of answer

We are putting trans gene in the host's DNA. When trans gene added so they start multiplying itself ie. Cloning So thier is only 1 DNA in the host ie.alien piece of DNA .And we add alien peice of DNA in the host to get desirable characters in the host.
