Power= work done/ time taken
Power = energy consumed/ timetaken
Since when work is done, an equal amount of energy is consumed.
S.I unit of power is Watt.
1 watt= 1 joule/ 1 Second.
1 watt is the power of an appliances which consumes energy at the rate of 1 joule per second.
