Lysosomes are called suicide bags because they contain very powerful digestive enzymes which help in the removal of waste and damaged material from the cell.. When any damaged material is found inside the cell, Lysosomes secrete those powerful digestive enzymes which in turn remove the wastage by dissolving its own cell. This is the reason why Lysosomes are called suicide bags..

Lysosomes have hydrolytic enzyme that is why when the cell is damaged the hydrolytic enzymes may burst and it dissolves its own cell
