It is Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer Technology. It is a technique developed to overcome the demerits of artificial insemination and production of larger progenies in short span of time. In this technique, a genetically superior quality of breed with desirable traits is chosen. This breed(cow) is administered with hormones having FSH like activity. This lead to the superovulation in which the same cow produces 6-8 eggs at a time rather than one. Now this female can be crossed with a superior quality bull or is artificially inseminated. After zygote formation when the cells reach to 16-32celled stage, these are removed nonsurgically mother and are transfered to surrogate mother for foetal development. The genetic mother is again ready for next round of super ovulation.
