Protective tissues are the one that helps in covering the surface of the leaves and the living cells of stems and roots.
The cells of the protective tissues are flattened at the top and bottom surface parallel.
Also, the bark of the outcome covering of roots and stems of woody plants.
The cork is external and secondary tissues that are impermeable to gases and water.
