Let a be the positive integer by Euclid division lemma a=bq+r and b=4 (R=0,1,2,3) Put r=0 A=4q+0 A=4q it is not even nor odd Put r=1 A =4q+1 it is odd Put r=2 A=4q+2 it is even Put r=3 A=4q+3 It is odd So any odd integer is of form 4q+1or 4q+3
