Mass is always constant but weight changes from place to place. Mass is scalar quantity whereas weight is vector quantity. SI unit of mass is Kg while SI unit of weight is N. Mass cannot be zero, weight can be zero. Mass is the quantity of matter contained in an object whereas weight is the force with which an object is attracted towards centre of the earth due to gravity.

MASS. 1) Mass can never be zero. 2) Mass does not change according to location. 3) Mass is a scaler quantity. 4) Mass usually measured in grams and kilograms. WEIGHT. 1) Weight can be zero. 2) Weight increases or decreases with higher or lower levels. 3) Weight is a vector quantity. 4) Weight usually measured in Newton, a unit force.
