Get a price of thin strip or ribbon. Clean it tip with sandpaper. Bring the strip mear a flame. It burn with brilliant white light When it is completely burn it give a powdwey ash. You mix the ash with water and check with litmus. It turns red to blue the litmus so the solution is basic
