According to the second law F-MA let a hammer is strike a iron sheet and the mass of hammer is 2KG and accerlation of hammer is 20meter per second square so the force appy of iron sheet is 40 N and also iron sheet is break down now the third law of newton every action is equal and apposite reaction now if a hammer apply the force to the iron sheet is 40N so also iron sheet is also apply the minus 40N force to the hammer so my question is how iron sheet is break down

First of all the force applied by iron sheet would not be minus 40N it will be in positive 40N as normal the reason is force can't be negative although the weight can be which is whole another theory so Dont get confused by that now lets come to the answer its true that the sheet has applied the opposite force and even the iron sheet is malleable and ductile but still its not that soft or strechable to hold that force which is transferred by the hammer and therefore it breaks
