Let Force on Plastic ball due to iron ball be F(pi) and vice versa as F(ip) Now, F(pi) = F(ip) m(p) < m(i) F(pi) = m(p)/a(p) F(ip) = m(i)/a(i) a(p) = F(pi)/m(p) a(i) = F(ip)/m(i) m(i) > m(p) Therefore, a(i) < a(p) Acceleration is inversely proportional to object's mass.

We know that acc. to Newtons 2 law F=Ma Plastic ball is lighter than iron sphere hence the same force accelerates the plastic ball with more magnitude.
