A type of mixture whose composition is throughout same by its mass is called Homogeneous Mixture While A mixture whose composition is not throughout same by its mass is called Heterogeneous Mixture

Homogeneous:- 1) It has uniform composition throughout its mass. 2) The constituents cannot be easily separated. 3) They cannot have physically distinct parts. 4) Example of Homogeneous mixture; Sugar solution,Soda water,Soft drinks,air,etc. Heterogeneous:- 1) It does not have uniform composition throughout its mass. 2) The constituents can be easily separated. 3) They have physically distinct parts. 4) Example of Heterogeneous mixture; Sugar and sand mixture,Milk,Ink,etc.

Homogeneous mixture has uniform composition.It has only one phase.It cannot be separated out physically.Homo means 'same'. Heterogeneous mixture has non uniform composition.There are two or more phases.It can be seperated out physically.Hetero means 'different '
