A change in which a substance undergoes a change in its physical properties is called a physical change. A physical change is generally reversible. In such a change no new substance is formed.
Changes in which chemical properties of substance change and a new substance is formed are called chemical changes. Some of the chemical changes are irreversible. Even in case of reversible changes in which chemical properties of substance change and a new substance is formed are called chemical changes. Some of the chemical changes are irreversible. For example: formation of curd from milk, burning of paper, etc.
