There are several social groups such as Scheduled Castes (SCs) (official term for Dalits) Schedule Tribes (STs) official term for Adivasis, Muslim Communities, etc. It has been observed that girls belonging to SC and ST communities are less likely to remain in school and girls from the Muslim community drop out without even completing their primary school. Girls from SC and ST communities remain in school for around four years whereas Muslim girls spend just three years.
