Novels has been deleted from syllabus. but the answer to ur query is given below
Lemuel Gulliver is the main character of the novel Gulliver's Travels. He is a bold adventurer who visits many strange places. The reader sees him go through many adventures. Despite the courage Gulliver displays throughout his voyages, his character lacks basic greatness. He appears to have no sense of mission or a drive to do something. He believes what he is told. He is honest and expects others to be honest. It is this quality that adds human and irony to the novel.
In Book 1, he possesses moral superiority over the Lilliputians. In Book 2, the moral superiority of the Brobdingnagians is greater than that of Gulliver. In Book 4, Gulliver represents the middle ground between pure reason and pure animalism. Gulliver identifies himself with the Houyhnhnms and thinks of the Yahoos as alien and animal. When he arrives in London, Gulliver seeks to change his basic nature by thinking and reason becomes the sole guide of his life.
