Acids are sour to taste. They are soluble in water. They give out h+ ion in aqueous solution. They are corrosive in nature. Bases are bitter to taste. They are not soluble in water. They give out h- ion in aqueous solution. All bases are not alkalis and all alkalis are not bases.
