Drug is not a key to all problems
Ritu was going to school suddenly a truck veered off with a screeching sound. It seemed Someone has awakened her with a jolt. People at the street had been shouting out at her, but she was unable to decipher the words, she could only the a crazy noise.
Someone pulled her off the street, as she was moving senselessly. The truck driver was screaming at her on the top of his voice. "What might have happened to her?", "Was she insane?" - people were puzzled multiple questions on their mind. Finally, the person who came to her rescue, her dad, took her back to home. Soon he took Ritu for counselling.
Ritu was a studious girl who scored good marks. She had big dreams like any other teenager. But lately, a family turmoil had weakened her so much that her performance in studies deteriorated and gradually she began loosing confidence and failed in every field of her life. She came under bad company and was influenced to take drugs. He fellows suggested her that she was facing very hard time and only drugs could heal her pain. Eventually she became a drug addict. There was no one at home to check her newly adopted bad habit as her parents had undergone separation recently and that was the major cause of her downfall. She was feeling lonely and broken.
Many people have problems in their family. For them, drug abuse seems to be an easy escape from the stress caused due to those problems. Youngsters, particularly try to tackle their relationship problems by way of drug abuse. Besides, the feeling of loneliness or emptiness can also force a person to turn to drugs.
Drug abuse refers to obsessive and excessive use of drugs. It impacts a person’s mental as well as physical health mainly causing damage to the brain. Drugs are initially taken by choice owing to different reasons. However, gradually it becomes difficult to resist them.
Drug Abuse is a common problem these days. Though hard to resist, the usage of drugs can be controlled with proper medication and guidance. Besides, the family also needs to be the cornerstone of the victim and shed immense love, care and support. A major problem in a well-knit family can lead to disastrous results not only for adults but also for the children as well.
