DNA is a double helical structure made up of polypeptide chain . The 2 chains are made up of sugar(pentose) and phosphate . the 2 chains have antiparallel polarity , one has 5'-3' and another has 3'-5' the 2 strands are joined via bases. These bases are adenine(A) , guanine(G) , thymine(T) (uracil(U) in case of RNA) cytosine(C) . G triple bond C and A=T. These bonds are hydrogen bonds
