What is the central idea of the poem wind
  • 2 answers

Manishi Lohiya 4 years, 11 months ago

In the poem, the wind is regarded as a symbol of destruction. The poet suggests us to face the challenges and hardships of life thrown at us with firm determination and courage. The poet says that the wind makes fun of the weaklings by destroying them. The wind is also being referred to as God who won't listen to one's words. The poet concludes by saying that the wind blows out the weak fires but the strong fires do not blow out rather flourish and spread out everywhere. The message given in the poem is that a weak person is not able to face the problems of life but a strong-willed person will overcome them boldly. Hence, one shall accept the challenges of life and be strong enough to realize one's inner potential.
