A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary-mass object, such as Earth, that allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface. On Earth, volcanoes are generally found where tectonic plates are diverging or converging and most are found underwater.

A volcanic from where ashes, gases and moltenic material, lava escape to the ground. Volcanoes are classified into different types-: 1. Sheild volcanoes 2. Composite volcanoes 3. Caldera volcanoes 4. Flood basalt provinces 5. Mid range ocean volcanoes.
