  1. Radius of zinc atom = {tex}\frac{(2.6 \stackrel{\circ}{A})}{2}{/tex} = 1.3 {tex}\begin{array}{l}{0} \\ {A}\end{array}{/tex}= 1.3 {tex}\times{/tex}10-12 m = 130 pm
  2. Length of the scale = 1.6 cm = 1.6 {tex}\times{/tex} 1010 pm
Diameter of zinc atom = 260 pm
    {tex}\therefore{/tex} No. of zinc atoms placed side by side = {tex}\frac{\left(1.6 \times 10^{10} \mathrm{pm}\right)}{(260 \mathrm{pm})}{/tex}= 6.154 {tex}\times{/tex} 107
