Gel electrophoresis is a technique commonly used in laboratories to separate charged molecules like DNA?, RNA? and proteins? according to their size. Charged molecules move through a gel when an electric current is passed across it.

Gel electrophoresis is a technique used to separate DNA fragments based on their size .Dna first separated and purified from any nucleated cell. It is then fragmneted by restriction endonuclease.The fragments are loaded in to the well of agarose gel in a trayand one electode is connected to cathode and other end to a cathode.when passing electricity DNA. Fragments separated ny its electophoretic mobility.It then separated in to bands.
