Let the multiples be x+8, x+16 and x+24
According to Question:
x+8 + x+16 + x+24 = 888
3x + 48 = 888
3x = 888-48
3x = 840
x = 840/3
x = 280
x+8 = 280+8 → 288
x+16 = 280+16 → 296
x+24 = 280+24 → 304

Let the three consecutive multiples of 8 is 8n , 8n+ 8 , 8n + 16
8n + 8n + 8 + 8n + 16 = 888
24n + 24 = 888
24(n+1) = 888
n+ 1 = 37
n = 36
8n = 288
8n+8 = 296
