Autogamy is discouraged as it is a mode of self pollination, which brings about negligible genetic variation. Adaptations to ensure xenogamy are:- Unisexuality Dicliny-reproductive parts dont mature at the same time. Heterostyle- In a bisexual flower stamen and carpel occurs in different length which prevent self pollination. Chasmogamy- the flowers open earlier.
